Good for you! My sister did this and it has been very successful. I wish you luck!

Good luck! You have the best inspiration.

Lori Williamson

I am so proud of you. I don't have the nerve to try that yet. I keep thinking I can do this on my own. We'll see.

good luck, you can do it! Um... why no asparagus? Just curious.

I am extremely proud of you. My best friend had gastric done and it saved her life. Everyone thinks it is the easy way out but it is not. Food when it becomes an addiction, is very hard to treat. I think the band will help you immensely and I know you will be climbing the great wall with your child. There is nothing you can't do when you put your mind to it. You are a very decisive person.

I love that you are directing Agnes of God, it is a favorite play of mine by John Pielmeier.

That's wonderful. You will do great!

My brother just had this done a month ago, he is having a lot of success with losing weight. My family is bugging me to have it done but I am scared. I am envious that you have made the leap. I wish you the best of luck with it. I hope you blog your story, you are an inspiration.

Good for you! And, so wonderful that you are taking this step to improve your health. My sister was morbidly obese - she did not have the band or gastric bypass - she lost the weight over a 2.5 year period. I am in awe of anyone who can defeat this disease - no matter how they choose to do it!! I wish you all the best. Just keep that mental picture of you, Russell and Lydia scaling the Great Wall - it will get you through the tough times. We're rooting for you here in CA!!

Good luck on taking the first step. It's never easy but will be worth it. Best of luck!

I got a Lap band in January and I've lost 80 pounds since then. Please email me if you'd like, I'd be happy to tell you more about my experience. fcorman@voicenet.com
